The Basic Sauce is used to make any hot pepper based Kimchi using the 3 Steps of Kimchi making.  Just to name a few, Napa Cabbage Kimchi, Cucumber Kimchi, Turnip Kimchi and Bok Choy Kimchi.  In addition to using it for Kimchi making, Not Just Rice uses it to make various vegetable salads and as a marinade for meats.  I make a large batch and use what I need and freeze the rest so I always have The Basic Sauce on hand.
